Steam LogoWelcome to our full Steam  Ahead grant. If you have a 3-5 year old and haven’t signed up for program reminder emails you can call or click the logo to get on the list.  The grant specials are on the 3rd Tuesday  of the month from 1:30-2:30.  Many of them are scheduled on half-days or vacations so that kids in afternoon preschool can still come.. After each program we move what we can into the children’s room for kids to try out anytime they come. We also have science themed take home kits.

Some room favorites to try: the energy stick that lights up when you create a human circuit, a marble run kit, a duplo simple machines kit and our duplo/lego table.

A fun static electricity experiment to try at home:  rub a balloon (a plastic spoon will also work but it’s not as dramatic) several times over a sweater, hold it close to but not in a small stream of water out of a faucet.  The static charge will attract the stream towards the balloon (spoon).
