Local Artisans Display @ the Library
Richard Sugden Library continues to support local artists by hosting the Massasoit Art Guild’s artists display. In addition, we highlight local artisans, crafters and collectors by displaying their work in a glass case on the main floor.
Pierre St. John’s
Indian Artifacts / Arrowhead Collection
This month’s featured collector is Spencer resident, Pierre St. John. All artifacts have been found or excavated by Pierre, (except for the one from Illinois, which was purchased at the Brimfield Fair). Pierre found his first arrowhead (labeled #1 in the case) when he was about 9 years old. The displayed Indian artifacts were found in Spencer, the Brookfields’ and New Braintree.
